Over the past 5 years GS Group has worked closely with Plymouth City Council to
refurbish the vast majority of Primary schools within the city of Plymouth, Devon.
Our combined aim has been to bring the School Kitchens up to date with modern
equipment thus improving the food options & quality for School pupils. By investing
in the latest equipment this has resulted in enhanced kitchen staff efficiency.
In order to achieve continuity we have continued to install leading manufacturer’s equipment. This ensures minimal disruption to the vast array of sites that depend on reliable equipment in the demanding environment of School Kitchens.
Working closely with Brad Pearce and his team, we have fine tuned their catering requirements through our in house design team, removing fryers & replacing with range cookers, state of the art combination ovens & bespoke dishwash schemes.
This equipment coupled with new extraction systems provides a much improved environment for the catering staff.
With the schools being operational, the installations are required to take place during school holidays. Within the 2011 summer break of 6 weeks, we achieved 5 complete kitchen installations. All 5 projects were finished on time for all the schools to reopen for the autumn term.
